The Little Black Dress Team

our publishing editor.

Elizabeth Cossick, M.Ed., is our professional editor and a stickler for correct pronoun usage. She received a Bachelor of Education from the University of Georgia and a Master of Literacy from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass. She holds over nine years of experience as a literature teacher and literacy consultant and has extensive experience writing for and editing publications on a local and national level–including editing the New York Times Bestseller Influencer: The Power to Change Anything. Elizabeth currently resides in Acworth with her husband Graham, their son Bantten, daughter Mia, and Munson the Wonder Dog.

our assistant editor.

We only had to read Tara Dorsey‘s well-penned articles in the former Pregnancy Magazine to know she was straight-up LBD material. She thankfully accepted the position as assistant editor (aka Elizabeth’s right arm…and sometimes left, too), and she has been making us giggle with her witty writings and motherhood musings ever since. Tara is an advertising grad from The University of Georgia, making her especially qualified to deal with, well, our advertisers. She lives in Marietta with her husband David, son Luke and baby girl Kateall good reasons to drink a lot of coffee and, from time to time, a nice glass of Pinot.

our designers.

Tiffany Westbrook of Gala Design is our incredible graphic talent. She’s why our magazine is so darn pretty. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia with a major in Graphic Design. She served as a designer and senior art director before launching Gala Design. Her clients have included Turner South, College Television Network, Elan Pharmaceuticals, Intellinet and North Point Community Church. Her invitation designs have been featured in over 12 national magazines, including Brides and Modern Bride (yes, she is that good). Tiffany lives in Marietta with her husband Ross and their little ones Mallory, Sam and R.J.

Sabrina Tongren of In8 Design is the talented designer of many of our ads, as well as the creative mastermind behind this snazzy website design. A graduate of the Art Institute of Atlanta, this Smyrna resident specializes in making everything–from an ad to an app–more visually appealing. And man is she good at it. Her clients range from sports personalities and whiskey bars to boutiques and churches. And, oh yes, LBD|LRW. Lucky us.

our photographers.

Summer Adams of Captures by Summer got her first SLR camera when she was 16 and immediately began photographing anything that would stand still. These days, Summer showcases her talent as a storytelling natural light photographer, capturing all stages of life–from pregnancy and birth to graduation and marriage. She lives in Kennesaw with her husband Kyle and sons Matthew and Seth (who, for the record, never stand still).

Jennifer Harris of Jen Harris Photography credits her son’s birth for her passion for photography. She took one look at his tiny toes and button nose and knew she had to photograph them. Jennifer has since built an impressive portfolio, including family, professional and architectural work. She lives in Acworth with her husband Andrew, son Ben, and two daughters Gracie and Madeline.

Cindy Tallman of Posh Photography is known for her creative eye and get-noticed use of color. We also like her, though, for her bubbly personality, enviable sense of style, and BIG heart. We first saw Cindy’s work hanging on the wall of a local children’s boutique, and we gladly welcomed her talents to the LBD team at the end of 2011. When she’s not behind the camera, she’s most likely playing dress-up with her daughter Lexi. We can’t wait to feature more of this photographic dynamo in the future.

our account managers.

Kim CooperNikki Brown and Jen Greenberg make up our incredible sales force. These ladies are all experts at balancing a million things: soccer schedules, PTA roles, sales calls, field-trip chaperoning, networking meetings, special event planning, snack duties, carpool duties, laundry duties…and they’re pretty good at kickin’ butt and takin’ names, too. What’s even better is that, as soon as you meet these women, you want to pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee, and chat for a while. They are three of the most fun, most inspiring, most genuine people we know.

our interns.

We love us a good intern. We’ve been graced with several stellar interns from both The University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University over the past three years. If you’re interested in applying for an LBD|LRW internship, please e-mail info@blackdressredwagon.com. We work with colleges to secure course credit.
