Eosinophilic Disorder

This is the support group to raise awareness for children with Eosinophilic Disorder, a disease that causes children to be allergic to proteins in foods. The result? Feeding tubes are necessary to provide nutrition for these children. A Fresh Hope

A Fresh Hope was started by 11-year-old Waverly Gilcrease three years ago. It is a 501(3)c non-profit that provides assistance to children and families in the NW Atlanta (Paulding, Cobb, Bartow, Douglas). A Fresh Hope hosts a Back to School Celebration each August where over 1,000 back packs with school supplies are donated to children who need them. They also partner with West Ridge Church and CAYA to host a Christmas Outreach event where families receive food bags and toys; there’s even a shopping store where children can select a gift to give their parents! Advocates for Children

Advocates offers safety, comfort and hope to children and youth by providing resources and support to strengthen families. Their special programs and services include the Flowering Branch Children’s Center, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), First Steps, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Project Safe Place and more. Warehouse of Hope

This ministry exists to “share the hope and love of Christ with our community and provide resources to people in need.” They currently distribute on average 7,000 grocery bags full of food and supplies per month and assist roughly 350 families monthly with the ability to meet their needs for clothing.
