Looking for the perfect place for a memorable family vacation this summer? Here’s our pick: Callaway Gardens Summer Family Adventure.
Want to know why we love it there? A: It’s affordable. B: There’s a veritable slew of activities for everyone. And C: You can kick back and relax (massage, anyone?) while the kiddos are entertained. Seriously.
Here’s some more information about it:
From June 5 to August 7, Callaway Gardens offers a seven-day Summer Family Adventure vacation package that includes
- A private two-bedroom cottage with a family living and dining area, kitchen, fireplace and screened-in porch.
- Day camp for children and teens ages 3 to 18 each weekday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Children’s activities, including arts and crafts, swimming, miniature golf, circus activities and outdoor adventures.
- Teen activities, including beach and water volleyball, a challenging ropes course, water skiing, tennis, a teen center, game room, teen dance, golf clinics and canoe trips.
- Parents and adults can enjoy rounds of golf on Callaway Gardens’ award-winning golf courses or a day of pampering at the first-class Spa Prunifolia (we’ve been; it rocks). Adults can also enjoy exercise classes, tennis, fishing and even circus skills. (The Florida State University Flying High Circus resides at Callaway Gardens each summer and offers circus and acrobat lessons!)
- Guests of all ages can participate in educational workshops and classes to learn more about photography, painting, drawing, gardening and nature.
- During the evenings families can enjoy spending time together with bingo, beach activities, marshmallow roasts, miniature golf, bike rides, star gazing and more.
We weren’t lying about the “veritable slew,” were we? Now you know why Callaway Gardens gets the Little Black Dress/Little Red Wagon stamp of approval. It’s seriously hard to beat.
