Smith-Gilbert Gardens, a favorite local spot for nature-lovers and gardening enthusiasts alike, is proud to announce that their seasonal butterfly exhibit, A Garden with Wings, will be back this year on July 25.
“We are excited to open our butterfly house again, with some fun new additions,” says Executive Director Ann Parsons. “We’ve received great support from the Cobb Community Foundation’s IMPACT Grant and the Cobb EMC Foundation to enhance the exhibit this year, and we look forward to showing our visitors more about these captivating insects!”
Those visiting A Garden with Wings will be able to observe many natives species of butterflies, including Monarchs, Black Swallowtails, and Gulf Fritillaries in all stages of their lives. The goal is to educate and entertain visitors of all ages about the lives and environmental contributions of butterflies in a fun and informative setting, which makes for the perfect field-trip or family outing destination.
