Is your child crazy for anything that travels by land, air and sea? A visit to the Children’s Museum of Atlanta will fulfill their need to explore physics with a new feature exhibit entitled “From Here to There.” Packed with 12 interactive stations where your kids can play with gravity, friction, the laws of motion and more, it’s sure to be a day they’ll never forget!
Stepping into the new feature exhibit lets your child become the master of his own universe. Suddenly, he can make the wind blow, lift heavy objects and float around on his own hovercraft device. Created by the Sciencenter in New York, the exhibit was designed to teach children about the power of science and the laws that govern how objects move. The educational curriculum aligns well with the STEM projects your child will participate in during the school year. Let’s check out what makes this exhibit so much fun:
Learn how to lift incredibly heavy objects by using devices like pulleys and levers!
Can you fly your own hot air balloon? The exhibit lets you give it a try!
Take a ride on your very own hovercraft and study the science behind what makes it go!
Dive in to the ball pit of fun and use construction items to move balls around the pit!
Trust us! Your child will be having so much trying out the exhibits that they won’t even know how much their brain is learning about physics! It’s really so much fun! Themed programming will run through March 31st but the exhibit will be in town through May 29th.
And that’s not all that’s happening during the month of March! Other events include a PI Day Celebration, Superhero Science Night, Tiny Thinkers Week and more! For dates and ticket information, check out childrensmuseumofatlanta.org. You won’t want to miss any of the fun!
