Now casting for The Earl Smith Strand Theatre P.O.V. Storytelling Workshop: A Cultural Experience in Short Filmmaking.
Do you have young film makers in your household? This remarkable summer program’s primary goal is to incorporate the art of diverse perspectives in all phases of production. Film and writing professionals active in the industry will lead groups of teens in an unforgettable creation of short films. Students ages 14-18 will work through the challenges of creative collaboration while receiving insightful feedback.
The P.O.V. Film Storytelling Workshop will also provide students with the opportunity to develop necessary story concept and editing skills in the film-making process. One short film will be produced per group of students as a final result. A red carpet premiere screening of student short films will take place after the workshop in which friends and family members are invited. This event will be free and open to the people of the community.
