The Gig:

Burn some calories and check out some cool art: The Marietta Square First Friday Art walk is back!

The First Friday Art Walk is a free, self-guided tour through Marietta’s eclectic art scene. Pick up an Art Walk map at any participating merchant, or meet up at the Art Walk headquarters located in the courtyard by the Marietta Welcome Center & Visitors Bureau and begin from there.

No better way to experience the famous Georgia summer evenings than to grab some dinner at one of the great restaurants located on the Square, steal some free air conditioning from Marietta’s eclectic array of shops, art galleries and museums, and meet the featured artists of the Art Walk exhibit.

Also – have your map marked at each participating location and be entered to win the grand prize “Hip to be Square” package!

The Historic Marietta Trolleys are available to take you from stop to stop, and at 8 p.m the Historic Marietta Trolley Company and Ghosts of Marietta will be combining for “Scary-etta”–the trolley ghost tour.  The tour leaves from the Trolley Headquarters, 131 Church Street.
