Chef Jean-Stephane Poinard is the owner and head chef of Bistro de Leon in historic St. Augustine, Florida, and he wants to fulfill your dream of learning culinary secrets and techniques with his very own Culinary Dream Contest.
His dream was to own a restaurant in America where he could offer a great lifestyle to his family. St. Augustine’s European atmosphere was a perfect match to ‘la cuisine de meres’ (French home cuisine). This dream came true in summer 2008, and now he’s taken to the streets (figuratively, that is!) to help your dreams take shape, too!
Enter to win a day in the kitchen with Chef Jean-Stephane Poinard, making a dish of your choosing while he teaches you the how-tos of culinary artistry and lets you in on all his sizzling, behind-the-scenes secrets. (Personally, we think that the ninja knife skills chefs use are insanely cool and not a bad party trick…and what’s life all about if it’s not about learning cool party tricks from amazing, award winning chefs!) Spend a night in the fabulous St. Francis Inn and wake to a day of culinary dreams come true….

The Guide:
Write a 150 word essay about why I want to win “My Dream Day in a Chef’s Kitchen”
Entry must include a dream dish you would like to prepare and what chef secret you’d like to learn
Include name, address, telephone number. Entries will be judged based on originality.

The GRAND PRIZE Winner Receives:
- Meet Chef Jean-Stephane Poinard at Bistro de Leon
- Spend one day (includes shopping for ingredients) in Chef’s Kitchen preparing a surprise ‘dream’ dish and learning some of Chef’s culinary secrets and techniques
- Dinner for Two at Bistro de Leon redeemable through December 1, 2010
- Overnight accommodations ( one night if requested) at historic St. Francis Inn (circa 1791) www.stfrancisinn.com
WHO CAN ENTER: Entrants must be 18 or over. There are no substitutions or transfer of prizes. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Grand Prize will be awarded for a Sunday thru Thursday (excluding weekends).
By acceptance of prizes, winner consents to use of their names and/or photographs for publicity purposes without further compensation. Winner will be notified by August 20, 2010.
